How to check INEC updated result
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the country’s electoral umpire, recently launched a dedicated portal for checking real-time election results uploaded from various polling units. Mr Festus Okoye, INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, made the announcement in a statement last Thursday. This resolution is intended to improve accountability and transparency in the nation’s electoral process. The INEC IReV portal enables anyone with internet access to view live election results after they have been compiled and recorded at polling units. In addition, the commission has urged Nigerians to use the election results portal.
The amended Electoral Act, signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari in February 2022, allows INEC to implement some innovations to improve the conduct of Nigerian elections.
