I removed my father’s private part for money ritual – 20-year-old boy confesses in Ogun
A 20-year-old boy named Ridwan has said that he killed his biological father in Ogun State as part of a money rite.
Men from the Ogun State So-Safe Corps caught him on Thursday in Oshoku village, Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
In a statement from the corps’s spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, the So-Safe Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo, said that on Thursday, August 31, at around 12 a.m., officers on regular patrol heard a strange noise in a building at Oshoku.
Ganzallo said that when the officers went into the building to find out what was going on, they were shocked to find a dead man lying in a pool of his own blood, and the accused killer had already left the scene.
Ganzallo was quoted in the statement as telling Marcus Ayankoya, who is in charge of the Ijebu Zonal Command, to get the accused killer arrested within 24 hours.
“The man who was thought to have killed someone was caught hiding in a bush.
“He admitted to killing his father Ishau with a rope around his neck and a knife to cut off the parts of his body that were needed for a ritual,” he said.
The corps commander said that the accused killer told corps officers during questioning that he only took his father’s private part, larynx, and four teeth because a ritualist he knew as Baba Kekere told him to do so.
Ganzallo also said that when he was asked where the ritualist was, he wouldn’t say where he was.
He said that the accused killer had been sent to the Nigeria Police Force, Ogbere Divisional Headquarters, so that more questions could be asked and he or she could possibly be charged.
