However, not everyone who nurse this desire actually achieves it. There are so many factors that results in the success of individual’s endeavors this could include discipline, commitment, consistentcy, knowledge, wisdom, hard-work, honesty, destiny, innate abilities, knowing the right people, mindset, and many other factors too numerous to list. However I this article I would lay more emphasis on the power of self-discipline in actualising success in every strata of human endeavorsWhat is self-discipline: Self-discipline is the ability to control yourself and to make yourself work hard or behave in a particular way without needing anyone else to tell you what to do. In another definition it is the ability to make yourself do things you know you should do even when you do not want to. - Visualise the reward of your self discipline: every act of self-discipline has an ultimate reward at the very end, for the sportsman it’s a trophy, for it student it’s a grade, it could be a prize or fulfilment. Let this be your motivation when you are about giving up on a path that leads to success. The more real the picture is formed on your mind the more prone you are to develop a healthy attitude of self discipline.Don’t set lofty goals: the strength of a man’s discipline is measured by his goals, setting goals help you keep track of your ability to self discipline. These people can help hold you accountable, too.Stop making excuses: all those who fail in life have excuses. If you really want to be self discipline and maintain such, you must avoid excuses. Kill whatever you want to.make as an excuse and go for the goal, at the end you will be happy you did. Excuse-making is the killer of self-discipline.
